The Second Letter of Peter is an oft-overlooked and largely hidden scripture. Highly controversial in the early Church, this scripture is filled with teachings and stern warnings about the dangers of departing from the faith. Among its most constant refrains is the call to trust and rely upon the promises of God in Christ.
