Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of penitence and fasting as we prepare to observe the days of our Lord’s passion and resurrection. Lent is a time not of sorrow, but of new beginnings. In Lent, we return once again to the Lord and call to mind our mortality and utter dependence upon His grace and mercy. On Wednesday, February 26, St. Luke’s will observe three liturgies for the imposition of ashes.
