Christmas in America is generally a season of unremitting cheer. As such, it makes little room for Advent, which asks us to reflect upon realities that are anything but calm, bright, gentle, or cheery. This year, we will look to Luke's Gospel and allow ourselves to be unsettled, provoked and perhaps even saddened by what we hear. Advent is a time of yearning and expectation, and only when we fully enter into this holy season can we discover what Christmas "cheer" is truly about.
Join us Sundays in Advent at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM
