Wildfires have devastated much of Northern California, and many people need the help of the church. If you would like to help, you can support Episcopal Relief & Development's response to the wildfires in California by donating to the U.S. Disaster Fund and praying for all those impacted.
Bishop Barry, Canon Andrea, Margaret Dunning, and other clergy and staff are continuing to work closely with Episcopal Relief & Development. ER&D has approved a grant for the Diocese of Northern California's fire relief, and disbursement of that money will begin this week. If your church is sheltering or providing services for evacuees, firefighters, or those who have lost homes or livelihoods from the fire, please get in touch with the bishop's office and let us know what you need.
If you'd rather give within the diocese, donations to Bishop Barry's discretionary fund can be made securely online at the diocese's website. The bishop has begun disbursing funds to Grace, St. Helena, for assistance with gas and grocery cards, and other immediate needs.
